Call for Proposals Extended

Museum of Contemporary Craft invites Portland-area artists, craftspeople, designers and guild members to submit a proposal for a two-week artist residency position in conjunction with the exhibition Laurie Herrick: Weaving Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, on view March 17 – July 30, 2011.

One Portland-area artist will be selected through a juried process to create a work based on one of Herrick’s designs in an on-site residency at the Museum, March/April 2011. The piece completed during the residency will travel as part of the exhibition to additional venues with works by four other artists-in-residence. The deadline to apply has been extended to January 10, 2011.

Please note: Additional images of Herrick’s work, her weaving drafts and descriptive texts will be added to the Museum’s website by December 15, 2010 to aid in proposal preparation. Click here for more information.
